RENUVION J-PLASMA FOR SCULPTING
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 15 March 2024
Renuvion® (sometimes known as J-Plasma®) is a medical procedure that combines helium plasma and radiofrequency (RF) energy, to stimulate tissue shrinking, tightening and contraction by carefully heating connective tissues directly beneath the skin. The helium plasma and RF energy are emitted simultaneously through a slender hand-held wand to
provide an even application. The technique provides a dramatic yet gentle effect on tissue. The areas most commonly treated by Renuvion® are the chin, neck, arms, breasts, chest, abdomen, inner thighs, lower thighs and knees.

– Effective Skin Tightening
– Collagen Regeneration
– Improved Skin Texture
– Wrinkle Reduction
– Minimally Invasive Treatment
– Long-Lasting Results
Renuvion is a great procedure to reduce a patient’s need for surgery to tighten the skin. The skin’s elasticity reduces as we age, sometimes leaving us with looseness in unflattering areas.
If used alone, Renuvion can create subtle changes in contour and muscle definition by addressing redundant skin and folds on the body. When used in conjunction with liposuction, this procedure can effectively reduce skin folds and fine lines, as well as improving contouring results.
Compared to other skin tightening techniques, Renuvion is a one-time treatment that both immediately tightens skin and increases collagen production that can last for several months after the procedure.
FACIAL SKIN REJUVENATION
Renuvion technology is commonly used for wrinkle and fine line reduction on the face. The device works the same way, releasing helium gas and RF at the same time to create plasma and thermal heating. To treat the face, the Renuvion device can be applied in pulsed, painted, or fractionated patterns to produce minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation.
Dr. Vigo makes three small incisions beneath the chin and each ear that act as ports for the Renuvion device. If liposuction is required, it is performed before the skin tightening begins. After numbing the area, the device is inserted and meticulously positioned underneath the skin and activated. As the plasma beams come in contact with tissues, new collagen is created and the skin tightens.
IS THE PROCEDURE RIGHT FOR ME?
A detailed consultation with Dr. Vigo is essential prior to undergoing any surgical procedure. During the consultation, Dr. Vigo will discuss your area/s of concern, desired improvements, options available (including no treatment at all) and expected outcomes.
Dr. Vigo will examine you and may take some photographs for your medical records. Dr. Vigo will measure your height and weight to make sure that it is safe to do an operation. If you are overweight, or planning to become pregnant, Dr. Vigo may suggest delaying your operation.
HOW IS THE PROCEDURE CARRIED OUT?
Should Renuvion® be agreed upon as the most suitable treatment, the procedure will be carried out by Dr. Vigo in a state-of-the-art clinic. Following careful marking of the treatment area/s and the administration of an appropriate anaesthetic, Dr. Vigo places the Renuvion® disposable probe into the tissue through tiny incisions. Helium plasma and radio frequency energy are released with precision into the tissue to stimulate the shrinking effect.
The edges of the incisions are closed with dissolvable stitches and very light dressings are applied. The surgery is usually performed as a day case under a general anaesthetic.
RESULTS
The procedure results in a contraction of the soft tissue that is often noticeable immediately after the procedure. The results will continue to improve over the next 6-9 months as the body goes through the healing process. Over time, post-surgical swelling will subside and incision lines will fade.
Satisfaction with your new image should continue to grow as you fully recover from surgery. In order to achieve optimal results it is important that you follow Dr. Vigo’s post- operative instructions and follow-up visits.
