EYELID SURGERY THAT CORRECTS SAGGING, BAGGY, OR DROOPING LOWER OR UPPER LIDS
Blepharoplasty Dubai | 29 January 2025
Blepharoplasty is a highly specialized eyelid surgery that corrects sagging, baggy, or drooping lower or upper lids for a more open, inviting, youthful look. Some undergo blepharoplasty purely for cosmetic reasons, while others opt for this plastic surgery to improve their vision.
The skin on the eyelid is extremely thin and sensitive, and the prospect of going under the knife for eye surgery can be daunting. In this guide, I’ll lift the curtain on blepharoplasty and explain what you can expect from your procedure.
WHAT IS AN EYELID SURGERY (BLEPHAROPLASTY)
Blepharoplasty is an operation performed on the eyelids (upper, lower or both) which involves the removal of skin and soft tissue, resulting in a fresher more youthful appearance to the eyes and entire face.
The blepharoplasty procedure is done to reduce the heaviness around the eyes. This appearance can be associated with skin, fat, and muscle excess both to the upper and lower eyelids leaving patients with a tired appearance even though may feel well rested. Blepharoplasty is often done as an elective surgery for cosmetic reasons. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty seeks to improve puffy lower eyelid “bags” and reduce the wrinkling of skin.
Blepharoplasty is sometimes needed for functional reasons. When an advanced amount of upper eyelid skin is present, the skin may protrude over the eyelashes and causes a loss of peripheral vision. The outer and upper parts of the visual field are most commonly affected and the condition may cause difficulty with activities such as driving or reading. In this circumstance, upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to improve peripheral vision.
HOW IS EYELID BLEPHAROPLASTY PERFORMED?
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia with or without IV sedation. Because of the facial anatomy changes from one individual to another there is not one procedure that suits every individual. Each operation is customized to suit the individual’s anatomy and the desires of the individual. In general terms, the following principles apply to blepharoplasty surgery.
For upper eyelid surgery, the incision is made in the natural skin fold. Excess skin is removed and a conservative amount of orbicularis muscle is removed. Although it is traditionally advocated to remove eyelid fat during the blepharoplasty procedure, I believe that in many cases the fat can be repositioned and contoured as opposed to completely removed.
This more modern approach to blepharoplasty leaves the eyelids looking more youthful and avoids the hollowed sunken surgical look of years gone by.
For lower eyelid surgery, the incision can be internal or external. Through the incision on the inside of the eyelid (trans-conjunctival) fat tissue is removed as required. If excess skin removal is required this can often be accomplished by a well concealed incision placed laterally. The skin is closed with very fine sutures.
If the excess skin is enough I always prefer to approach the surgery with the external scar, which is placed very close to the eyelashes line, and will be extended sometimes in the lateral area of the eye. With this technique, you can address at the same time the extra skin and the fat bags, targeting also an excess of the orbicularis muscle and remove it.
WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR BLEPHAROPLASTY?
Do you look tired even though you aren’t? Is the skin of your upper eyelid overhanging the normal lid crease and starting to impinge on the eyelashes? Are there bulges and bags where there shouldn’t be? Do your eyes appear smaller than they did in years past? If you have answered yes to any of these questions you might be a good candidate for blepharoplasty.
The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for an eyelid tuck is to book a consultation to make sure that you are a suitable candidate for surgery at the time of your consultation. The ideal candidate for a blepharoplasty is someone who has developed noticeable pockets of fat in the lower lids, or excessive, redundant skin in the upper lids. Anyone with signs of aging in the upper or lower lids may benefit from blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty may be also be used to improve sight by removing excess skin out of the patient’s field of vision.
Eyelid blepharoplasty can make a remarkable difference in the appearance of your face, alleviating the appearance of tiredness and old age. Your eyes appear fresher and more youthful and these results may last for many years. The degree of improvement varies from patient to patient.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE CONSULTATION?
I will discuss the degree of change you would notice in your appearance. The procedure and its risks and limitations will be explained to you. Your medical history will be reviewed and then I will examine the skin and fat around your eyes. Your eye sight, peripheral vision and tear ducts might be checked if necessary.
HOW LONG DOES THE SURGERY TAKE?
The procedure general takes 60-90 minutes depending on whether upper or lower eyelids are done.
WHAT WILL I FEEL DURING THE PROCEDURE?
Initially you may feel a tight sensation around the eyes, with minor discomfort that lasts for a day or two. A mild pain reliever can be taken as needed. People who have had the procedure are often surprised at how painless eyelid surgery can be.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER SURGERY?
You will be given an instruction sheet to take home with you, which will outline the steps you should take to care for your eyelids after surgery. The first evening after surgery, you should rest quietly with you head elevated. Cold compresses are to be used as per the instruction sheet provided.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY PERIOD LIKE?
At first the incisions will probably be red and somewhat bumpy. Eventually the resulting scar should become flat and inconspicuous. The swelling and discoloration around your eyes will gradually subside, and you will start to look and feel better each day. Swelling and bruising varies considerably from person to person. Stitches will be removed after 7 days.
The scars are usually minimally visible even if sometimes an extension in the lateral part of the eye is needed and this scar can remain more visible than the others.
Bruising typically disappears within 7-10 days. After the first week you will be permitted to use makeup, if desired, to conceal any discoloration.
Your vision might be blurry for a few days. Your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to light, and you may experience excess tearing or dryness. You need to avoid wearing contact lenses for the first week. You might also consider wearing dark sunglasses for a couple of weeks to protect your eyes from wind and sun irritation. The eyes may tire easily for several weeks.
HOW LONG DOES THE SURGERY LAST?
Following blepharoplasty surgery the face will have a more youthful appearance and in many cases the eyelids feel less heavy. The results generally last 10 to 15 years and the surgery usually does not need to be repeated.
HOW PRECISE IS THE RESULT?
There is no such thing as a perfect operations and no surgeon is perfect. No individual has perfect pre-existing anatomy and no skin wound heals without some degree of scarring. A mild degree of asymmetry between eyelids is the rule, rather than the exception.
A realistic expectation from the surgery would be an 80% improvement in the upper eyelid appearance and a 70% improvement in the lower eyelid appearance.
WHAT IS A FACE LIFT (RHYTIDECTOMY)?
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 27 January 2025
Typically, a facelift treatment lasts between one and three hours and is performed under general anaesthesia. Sometimes, more involved and involved procedures take longer.
A facelift technique seeks to restore a more youthful and refreshed facial appearance by reviving the facial area’s appearance. The technique entails removing extra skin from the area around the ears and tightening the platysma, the muscle that lies beneath the covering skin. This lifting procedure is frequently combined by Dr. Vigo with volumizing procedures such fat grafting to the chin, jawline, lips, cheeks, and temples.
Our faces exhibit the most overt indications of ageing as we get older.
Ageing is particularly noticeable around the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. The soft tissues (muscle and fat) hollow out, the bone itself starts to resorb, and the facial skin begins to lose its suppleness and droop. The lips get thinner, the earlobes and nose tip lengthen, and the face loses its young aspect.
To lessen and conceal scars, incisions are made behind and in front of the ears. Sometimes the incisions go all the way to the scalp.
In order to raise the skin and soft tissues of the face and rearrange the underlying facial muscles into a renewed position, Dr. Vigo will next proceed to reach deeper layers of the face. To increase the impact of the facelift, these muscles can also be strengthened and the neck may also undergo liposuction.
As less invasive alternatives, Dr. Vigo also offers a mini-facelift and a micro-facelift; these should be explored with Dr. Vigo.
WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE A FACELIFT?
Men and women can both benefit greatly from rhytidectomy as a cosmetic operation to renew their overall appearance and give their faces a more youthful appearance.
The following are some of the main causes for getting a facelift:
– rejuvenate the face to make it appear younger
– tighten and hydrate the facial skin.
– remove extra facial skin that is sagging.
– reduce wrinkles and fine lines
– bring the face’s definition back
– face-sculpting techniques
The effects of a rhytidectomy are long-lasting. Even though the face will continue to progressively age after the treatment, it will do so from this newly refreshed point.
WHO IS SUITABLE FOR A FACELIFT?
If each of the following statements about a person is true, Dr. Vigo deems them suitable for the procedure:
– your mental and physical health are both good.
– your body weight is at its perfect level.
– you have an optimistic perspective and reasonable expectations for what surgery can accomplish.
– you want to make your face look more youthful.
– you want to get your face and neck’s contours back.
– you desire noticeable, long-lasting rejuvenation outcomes.
WHAT SHOULD I ASK DURING MY CONSULTATION FOR A FACELIFT?
Before deciding whether to have surgery, your consultation with Dr. Vigo is intended to be the ideal time to ask him any questions you may have. Before making a final decision, it is crucial that you are completely informed, therefore the consultation is an important step in your education and decision-making process.
Good examples of what questions to ask are:
– what are my chances of success with this procedure?
– do you believe that, given my current anatomy, my aspirations are reasonable?
– can i view some examples of your prior facelift surgeries, both before and after?
– how long will it take me to recover?
– what might i anticipate in terms of swelling, bruising, and scarring?
HOW WILL I FEEL FOLLOWING MY PROCEDURE?
You will awaken in our recovery areas at the Clinic as your anaesthesia or sedative wears off. You could feel a little sleepy at first, but this usually passes in a few hours. You’ll consume food and drink water once you’ve rested for a while. Your permission to leave the Clinic will then be granted by Dr. Vigo’s nursing staff.
It’s normal to experience some pain and discomfort just after surgery. This will eventually wear off.
A number of factors, including as the loss of facial fat and the thinning of dermal tissue, can contribute to the gradual deterioration of the quality of your skin. Age, gravity, sun damage, smoking, inheritance, and stress may be the causes of these alterations. By removing superfluous skin, tightening underlying tissue and muscle, and then redraping the remaining skin for a smoother and more taut appearance to the face and neck, modern facelift treatments strive to correct many indicators of ageing sustained over the years. With just one procedure, a facelift can address any of the following typical ageing symptoms that are troubling you:
– sagging skin on the neck, jawline, or midface
– deep furrows that go from the corners of your mouth to your nose (nasolabial folds)
– lines that go from your mouth’s corners to your chin (marionette lines)
– a double chin or jowls
– displaced face volume or fat
A facelift is a restorative procedure that tightens and smoothes loose skin on the face and neck by “undermining,” or separating the skin from the muscles and tissues beneath the skin. The skin is redraped over the face and any extra skin is clipped after the muscles and tissue beneath the skin have been realigned and made more firm. This successfully removes wrinkles and firms the skin.
Many patients mistakenly believe that facelifts are only advantageous for older people who are showing more pronounced indications of ageing. Patients who undergo a facelift typically range in age from 51 to 64, although anyone with signs of drooping skin and wrinkles can gain from the operation. Your general health, the state of your skin, and your lifestyle decisions will all play a role in determining if you’ll make a good candidate for a facelift. Dr. Vigo will customise your facelift to your aesthetic goals and the degree of treatment required to achieve them by using a variety of procedures.

BREAST REDUCTION FOR A MORE SHAPELY, UPLIFTED BUST
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 15 January 2025
Women with large breasts can often struggle with discomfort, uncomfortable clothing, and even neck and back problems. Breast reduction surgery seeks to make your bust more sculpted and uplifted while reducing the size of your breasts. A breast reduction treatment can significantly improve a patient’s quality of life by easing pain and enhancing self-confidence. Breast reduction surgery is a possibility if the size of your breasts worries you.
Breast reduction surgery includes removing extra breast tissue, fat, and skin from the breasts, resulting in breasts that are more in proportion to the rest of your body. Your breast reduction will be customised for you by one of our top breast surgeons once they have heard your worries.
The size of a woman’s breasts is determined by a number of factors such as genes, weight and hormones. Although most women’s breasts are in proportion to their body size and shape, some women’s breasts are disproportionately large, which can cause general discomfort. The size and weight of the breasts can particularly be an issue for women who have small frames, as the imbalance can create problems. The aim of a breast reduction operation is to reduce the size and weight of the breasts.
BREAST REDUCTION TECHIQUES
There are three types of technique used and your surgeon will tailor this to suit your needs.
The peri areolar technique
Scarring is limited to the circumference of the areola; this is suitable for smaller reductions.
The vertical scar technique
Here a scar is made around the areola and then extended down towards the breast crease, this is suitable for moderate reductions.
The ‘inverted T’ or ‘anchor’ technique
This is the most traditional form. The resulting scars will be around the areola, from the areola to the breast fold and along the breast fold. This is required for larger breast reductions.
Dr. Vigo will always provide you with information and guidance in order to ensure scaring is minimised.
BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY
Breast reduction surgery is meant for women who have large breasts and want to resolve issues such as:
– Chronic back, neck and shoulder pain that requires pain medications
– Chronic rash or skin irritation under the breasts
– Nerve pain
– Restricted activity
– Poor self-image related to large breasts
– Difficulty fitting into bras and clothing
Breast reduction surgery generally isn’t recommended if you:
– Smoke
– Have certain conditions such as diabetes or heart problems
– Are very obese
– Want to avoid scars on your breasts
You can have breast reduction surgery at any age – sometimes even as a teenager. But if your breasts aren’t yet fully developed, you might need a second surgery later in life. You might postpone breast reduction surgery if you have certain future plans, such as:
Childbirth. If you haven’t started a family or your family isn’t yet complete, you might wait until pregnancy isn’t an issue. Breast-feeding might be challenging after breast reduction surgery – although certain surgical techniques can help preserve your ability to breast-feed.
Weight loss. If you are interested in losing weight by changing your diet and starting an exercise program, you might wait to decide if reduction mammoplasty is for you. Losing weight can often result in changes to your breast size.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?
– Patients who want smaller breasts.
– Patients with extensive breast asymmetry.
– Healthy patients without breast cancer.
– Patients who possess realistic expectations.
– Patients who will tolerate breast scars.
– Patients who complain of chronic neck, shoulder and back pain from
excessive breast size.
– Patients with large breasts who experience chronic skin irritation along
their bra straps and under the breast folds.
BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY RISKS
Breast reduction surgery has the same risks as any other type of major surgery – bleeding, infection and an adverse reaction to the anesthesia. Other possible risks include:
– Bruising, which is usually temporary
– Scarring
– Removal of or loss of sensation in the nipples and skin surrounding the
nipples (areolae)
– Difficulty or inability to breast-feed
– Differences in the size, shape and symmetry of the surgically altered
left and right breasts, which might lead to further surgery to improve
your appearance
– Nipple loss or fat necrosis
HOW YOU PREPARE
Dr. Vigo will:
– Evaluate your medical history and overall health
– Discuss your expectations for breast size and appearance after the
surgery
– Provide a detailed description of the procedure and its risks and
benefits, including likely scarring and possible loss of sensation
– Examine and measure your breasts
– Take photographs of your breasts for your medical record
– Explain the type of anesthesia used during surgery
Before breast reduction surgery, you might also be asked to:
– Complete various lab tests
– Get a baseline mammogram
– Stop smoking for a certain period of time before and after surgery
– Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements,
to control bleeding during surgery
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Your breasts will be covered with a gauze dressing or bandages. A tube might be placed under each arm to drain any excess blood or fluid. You likely will take medication for pain and antibiotics, to decrease your risk of infection.
For the first days or week after surgery:
– Your breasts will probably feel tender and sensitive
– Your breasts might be swollen and bruised
– Your surgeon might recommend an elastic compression bra to protect
the breasts
You’ll need to limit physical activity for two to four weeks while the breasts heal. Dr. Vigo might suggest avoiding underwire bras for a few months after surgery. Scarring usually fades over time. You will need a follow-up visit with Dr. Vigo to remove stitches and check your recovery.
IS BREAST REDUCTION PAINFUL?
Some patients can experience some discomfort following breast reduction surgery however this will be carefully managed with pain relief and by following our aftercare instructions.
BREAST SURGERIES FOR CORRECTION, RENEWAL OR REVISION
Breast Augmentation Dubai | 12 January 2025
As with any surgery, cosmetic breast surgery comes with a level risk, and some patients may not be happy with the results. This is especially true when decisions are focused on the lowest cost rather than the knowledge of the surgeon.
Additionally, as patients age, their breast tissue changes and all breast implants deteriorate with time. Because of these factors, more individuals are requiring breast surgeries for correction, renewal, or revision. This kind of surgery necessitates a comprehensive evaluation of the breast tissue, the prior procedure, the implants and scars, as well as the anticipated results of additional surgery.
Only those with integrated backgrounds in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery can possess such proficiency.
Dr. Vigo is amongst the most experienced, trusted and respected breast plastic surgeons in the region. He has contributed to the development of contemporary breast surgery techniques for more than ten years, and as an international authority, he has published and presented internationally on the subject. He is seeing more patients who want corrective surgery, thus he has become an authority in this field.
ISSUES WITH BREAST IMPLANTS
A breast implant procedure is frequently thought of as being fairly straightforward and a “quick fix” for smaller or sagging breasts. To satisfy the needs and preferences of the patient, each procedure should be specifically planned after a rigorous assessment. Decisions need to be made on the implant’s size, form, and texturing as well as its placement above or below the muscle of the chest wall and the type of incision that will be used. Patients frequently seek a second opinion because this can be misinterpreted frequently.

Patients frequently seek a second opinion because this can be misinterpreted frequently.
REPLACEMENT OF BREAST IMPLANTS
Depending on the issue that needs to be addressed and the patient’s preferences, a breast implant replacement process can range from being very simple to being quite difficult. This procedure may involve moving the implant above or below the chest wall muscle, changing the implant’s size, or removing a tight internal scar that had formed around it (capsulectomy).
REVISIONAL BREAST LIFT
In order to improve the appearance of the breasts after childbirth, as individuals age naturally, or after weight loss, breast elevation (mastopexy) surgery is frequently employed. Although it can be a very successful procedure, the biggest drawback is that the effects are not permanent. Due to the weight of the breasts and the fragility of the supporting ligament systems, patients’ breasts typically sag again over time. Such uplifts benefit from longer lasting operations, frequently used in conjunction with a tiny implant.
BREAST ASYMMETRY
The majority of breasts differ in their degree of asymmetry. The term “asymmetries of the breast” refers to variations in the breast’s volume (size), overall form, nipple and areolar position, and placement on the chest wall (including the breast fold). This can happen as a result of prior surgery, over- or under-development of one of the breasts, or both.
The most frequent type of asymmetry is having one breast smaller than the other but with a regularly formed breast that is undeveloped. Breast hypoplasia is what is meant by this. In this case, the smaller breast can be surgically improved by inserting a Motiva cohesive gel silicone breast implant or by using fat that has been liposuctioned from another area of the body to augment the smaller breast.
BREAST LUMPS
At some time in their lives, the majority of women will discover a breast lump, and it’s vital to realise that most of these lumps are benign. The menstrual cycle frequently has an impact on them.
A fibroadenoma, often known as a breast mouse, is the most typical benign breast bulge. This is due to the fact that they are frequently well-defined, firm, rubbery lumps that can move around the breast when touched.
You can notice an increase in the size and tenderness of your breasts before your period. This is a result of the hormonal changes that the tissue around the milk ducts (called fibrocystic alterations) or the breast tissue itself experiences at this time (simple cysts).
BREAST SAGGINESS (PTOSIS)
The nipple areolar complex is the name for the two structures together (NAC). The NAC ought to be positioned above the breast fold (this is where the breast meets the chest wall at the bottom of the breast and is called the inframammary fold). The NAC position described above is accurate for a young breast, but as a woman gets older, her breasts may sag (ptosis). This can affect one or both breasts and is caused by the gradual effects of gravity as well as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and weight swings.
INVERTED NIPPLES
Numerous factors might cause nipples to invert. It might start at birth or develop over the course of a lifetime. It may be an aesthetic issue as well as obstruct breastfeeding.
Inversion is most frequently asymptomatic, although it can occasionally be an indicator of a disease process inside the breast tissue, such as inflammation (mastitis) or within the milk ducts (duct ectasia). Importantly, it may also be connected to an underlying breast cancer diagnosis.
Due to these correlations, it is always recommended that Dr. Vigo perform a thorough breast exam and request any imaging necessary to rule out these curable illnesses first. Surgery can be used to address inverted nipples if no underlying reason is discovered.
BLEPHAROPLASTY: UPPER EYELID RESHAPING SURGERY
Cosmetic Surgery Dubai | 8 January 2025
This cosmetic eye surgery deals with the contours of the upper eyelid space. This procedure concerns the removal of excess skin and muscle. The goal is to create a more youthful appearance by reducing sagging skin, lifting the area and reducing hooded lids.
The skin and muscles surrounding the eyes weaken and stretch as a result of gravity’s downward pull and a loss of skin elasticity. This leads to an accumulation of loose skin and fat protrusions that give the impression of “eye bags” or a hooded look of the upper eyelid skin. Smoking, sun exposure, and weight loss may all have an accelerating influence on this feature, which may run in families.
Blepharoplasty is an activity performed on the eyelids (upper, lower or both) which includes the expulsion of skin and delicate tissue, bringing about a fresher more energetic appearance to the eyes and whole face.
The blepharoplasty system is finished to decrease the greatness around the eyes.
This appearance can be related with skin, fat, and muscle overabundance both to the upper and lower eyelids leaving patients with a drained appearance despite the fact that might feel great rested. Blepharoplasty is in many cases performed as an elective medical procedure for corrective reasons. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty tries to further develop puffy lower eyelid “packs” and diminish the wrinkling of skin.
Blepharoplasty is once in a while required for utilitarian reasons. At the point when a high level measure of upper eyelid skin is available, the skin might project over the eyelashes and causes a deficiency of fringe vision. The external and upper pieces of the visual field are most generally impacted and the condition might cause trouble with exercises like driving or perusing. In this situation, upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to work on fringe vision.
To appear younger is a typical motivation for blepharoplasty procedures. Due to the loss of collagen and the elasticity of the skin, the skin on our eyelids is frequently one of the first areas of the body to show indications of ageing. This causes the skin to sag and droop more, which might make us look older than we actually are.
While everyone experiences this as a natural part of ageing, some people may be more prone to sagging or drooping eyelids, which can create issues early on and worsen with age. An upper blepharoplasty operation may be a very efficient technique to solve the issue and restore a person’s youthful appearance.
UNDERGOING A BLEPHAROPLASTY
For upper eyelids, the specialist cuts along the crease of the eyelid. The specialist eliminates some overabundance skin, muscle and conceivably fat. Then, at that point, the specialist shuts the cut.
On the lower cover, the specialist makes a cut just underneath the lashes in your eye’s regular wrinkle or inside the lower top. The specialist eliminates or rearranges overabundance fat, muscle and hanging skin. Then, at that point, the specialist shuts the cut.
On the off chance that your upper eyelid hangs near your student, your specialist might do blepharoplasty joined with a technique called ptosis. Ptosis is intended to lift the eyelid as well as eliminate overabundance eyelid skin.
IS A BLEPHAROPLASTY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Hanging eyelids can make you look a lot more seasoned than you truly are. The saggy tops likewise make shadow zones that give your face a hazier, harsh appearance. Be that as it may, restorative medical procedure isn’t a great fit for everybody.
For the most part, optimal possibility for blepharoplasty incorporate the people who experience the ill effects of saggy lower eyelids that cause an expanded measure of eye white to show, the people who have hanging upper covers brought about by a development of greasy tissue underneath the skin and people who are having their vision – particularly their fringe vision – darkened. Packs under the lower covers can likewise be revised with blepharoplasty.Eyelid blepharoplasty can have a striking effect in the presence of your face, lightening the presence of sluggishness and advanced age. Your eyes seem fresher and more young and these outcomes might keep going for a long time. The level of progress shifts from one patient to another.
BLEPHAROPLASTY RESULTS
Following a blepharoplasty medical procedure the face will have a more energetic appearance and generally speaking the eyelids feel less weighty. The outcomes by and large last 10 to 15 years and the medical procedure typically needn’t bother with to be rehashed. There is no such thing as an ideal tasks and no specialist is great. No individual has wonderful prior life systems and no skin twisted recuperates without some level of scarring. A gentle level of deviation between eyelids is the standard, as opposed to the exemption.
A practical assumption from the medical procedure would be a 80% improvement in the upper eyelid appearance and a 70% improvement in the lower eyelid appearance. Unlike many other cosmetic procedures and anti-ageing products, a blepharoplasty procedure offers a long-lasting solution to tired eyes. As the results are long-term, most patients will not feel the need to come back in for a repeat procedure.
Depending on which type of eye rejuvenation surgery you choose, the procedures can help to lift, smooth and tone the area above or below the eyes. Muscles under the skin’s surface can also be tightened up, if this is required. The aim is to produce a youthful-looking appearance.
Some patients choose to combine surgical and non-surgical anti-ageing treatments. Combining this procedure with things like muscle relaxing injections or facial peels can also be beneficial.

Gradual, Long-Lasting Results
Baby Botox doesn’t guarantee results right away. Rather, it provides incremental enhancements that enable people to easily adjust to the changes. The effects are long-lasting, offering constant brightness for a long time.
The Treatment Process
Personalised Consultation
Dr. Vigo conducts a comprehensive assessment to determine your unique needs and goals before the treatment starts. This individualised approach ensures customised treatment regimens for the best possible outcomes.
Precision In Administration
Dr. Vigo carefully applies small amounts of Botox to specific regions during the treatment. This accuracy prevents the frozen or “overdone” look that is sometimes connected to classic Botox while guaranteeing the intended result.
Minimal Discomfort, Maximum Impact
The application procedure is another example of Dr. Vigo’s dedication to patient comfort. Most patients report relatively minor feelings throughout the operation, indicating that baby Botox causes very little discomfort. It is a desirable choice for people with hectic schedules because of this and its short recuperation periods.
Post-Treatment Care
Dr. Vigo’s post-treatment care places an emphasis on the body’s inherent healing mechanisms. He gives patients thorough aftercare instructions so they may properly take care of their skin and preserve the effects. We advise recurring follow-up sessions to guarantee long-lasting results. During these visits, Dr. Vigo can evaluate how the outcomes have changed and make minor modifications to better suit each patient’s response.
How Long Does Baby Botox Last?
The benefits are long-lasting and mild, usually lasting three to four months. Depending on a person’s lifestyle, skin type, and how their body processes the botulinum toxin, the results’ durability can differ from person to person.
Does Baby Botox Prevent Wrinkles?
It can, in fact, aid in halting the development of new wrinkles. Smaller dosages are intended to decrease muscle activity in specific regions, delaying the development of fine lines and new wrinkles and preserving a more youthful, glowing appearance.
How Is Baby Botox Different?
By employing smaller dosages and emphasising a more natural-looking outcome, Baby Botox sets itself apart from conventional Botox treatments. This method guarantees that facial expressions stay natural and fluid, eliminating the “frozen” appearance that is occasionally connected to traditional Botox procedures. For anyone looking for delicate renewal and refinement, it’s the ideal option.
How Often Do You Need Baby Botox?
Depending on personal aesthetic preferences and the body’s reaction to the botulinum toxin, the frequency of treatments varies. In order to keep their ideal appearance, patients typically decide to undergo follow-up procedures every three to four months. Dr. Vigo will give you personalised guidance on the best course of therapy for your particular need during your consultation.
Combining Baby Botox with Other Treatments
For a more thorough approach to facial rejuvenation, Dr. Vigo frequently mixes Baby Botox with additional procedures. In order to prevent excessive movement and produce the appearance of smoother skin, baby Botox targets the fine, dynamic face muscles. For example, Baby Botox works well with dermal fillers to treat volume loss and dynamic wrinkles. This combo can give the face a faint yet noticeable “lift.”
In addition to your Baby Botox treatment, Dr. Vigo provides anti-wrinkle injections. These could involve procedures for regions like the neck or lower face that Botox doesn’t usually target.
MIA FEMTECH™ VS BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast Augmentation Dubai | 1 January 2025
The Mia® technique is a revolutionary advancement in breast harmonization, offering a minimally invasive and highly effective approach to enhancing breast volume and shape. As the first injectable implant, Mia® allows for a quick and comfortable procedure with a rapid recovery time. Through a small incision in the armpit, the unique diamond-shaped implant is inserted above the muscle. This innovative design enables significant volume enhancement, even with smaller implant sizes, providing a natural-looking and harmonious result.
Incision size
Mia Femtech: Uses a small incision in the armpit
Traditional breast augmentation: Typically requires incisions on the submammary fold or around the areola to insert the implants
Recovery time
Mia Femtech: Patients often experience a faster recovery time
Traditional breast augmentation: May require more downtime
Scarring
Mia Femtech: Results in less noticeable scarring in the armpit
Traditional breast augmentation: May require incisions that result in more noticeable scarring
Breast tissue preservation
Mia Femtech preserves breast tissue, which can make the procedure safer and less painful
Breast sensitivity
Mia Femtech preserves breast sensitivity while ensuring a natural feel and look
Breast augmentation might cause a slight decrease in the breast sensivity
Anesthesia
Mia Femtech is a procedure that can be done under pure local anesthesia with or without minimal sedation. Breast augmentation is on the other hand done under General anesthesia
Reversibility
Mia Femtech is 100% reversible, so the implants can be removed through the armpit. One of the most remarkable aspects of Mia® is the minimal downtime it requires. Women can return to their normal activities within a few days of the procedure, allowing them to quickly resume their daily routines. Some ladies have even been able to travel or return to work shortly after the procedure, demonstrating the exceptional convenience of this technique.
Mia® is ideal for those seeking a subtle and natural-looking breast enhancement. The results are subtle and harmonious, creating a more natural appearance that is virtually undetectable. By avoiding the need for padded or push-up bras, Mia® allows women to feel confident and comfortable in their bodies. One of the most significant advantages of the Mia® technique is its ability to preserve breast tissue. Unlike traditional breast augmentation methods that involve cutting and manipulating breast tissue, Mia® utilizes a non-invasive approach that avoids damaging the surrounding tissue.
Instead of cutting through the breast tissue, Mia® employs a balloon that is gently inflated to create space for the implant. This technique eliminates the need for tissue dissection, preserving the integrity of the breast tissue, nerves, and blood vessels.
By preserving breast tissue, Mia® offers several benefits. It reduces the risk of complications associated with tissue trauma, minimizes changes to nipple sensation, and facilitates future mammograms for breast cancer screening. This non-invasive approach ensures that the breast remains healthy and functional, even after the procedure. While Mia® technique offers many advantages, it’s important to understand that it’s not suitable for everyone. Traditional breast augmentation may be more appropriate for women seeking larger implants or significant shape modifications.
Mia® is ideal for women who desire a natural-looking breast enhancement without the need for extensive surgery or prolonged recovery. It’s particularly well-suited for those who are hesitant about general anesthesia or prefer a less invasive approach. As a plastic surgeon, I carefully assess each woman’s individual needs and goals to determine the most suitable procedure.
Some patients may require more extensive tissue manipulation, such as addressing asymmetry or correcting sagging breasts, which can be achieved more effectively through traditional techniques.
