BRACHIOPLASTY – TIGHTEN & LIFT THE UPPER ARM
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 30 October 2024
An arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes hanging excess skin and endows the arm with a smooth, lithe contour. Many men and women experience sagging upper arms due to weight fluctuations, the natural ageing process, or genetics.
IS AN ARM LIFT FOR YOU?
Do you notice any swaying of the skin between your elbow and your armpit? Do your upper arms have large amounts of loose skin that cause your sleeves to tug and sag?
As we become older, it can become more common, but it doesn’t have to be your experience. It is frustrating because after spending hours at the gym, you can’t seem to tone this area. Building muscle won’t help skin that has lost its suppleness, and it might even make your arms look bigger and more prominent.
It’s not just you. Sagging arms are a frequent problem. You might have lately undergone a considerable weight loss. 92% of the surgeons who responded to a recent survey felt that patients had functional issues related to extra skin following significant weight loss. You might have inherited a bad family trait.
Regardless of your lifestyle or family history, the elasticity loss that comes with ageing skin also contributes significantly to sagging arms.
This drooping skin is improved with an arm lift, along with the tissue of the upper arm and any localised pockets of fat. Before the skin is redraped, extra skin and fat are carefully removed. A new territory with contours is the end product.
BENEFITS OF BRACHIOPLASTY
There are many benefits to getting an arm lift if you commit to a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet and regular exercise. An arm lift can take years off the appearance of your body. This is particularly true if your arms have been making you self-conscious for some time now, as your quality of life and self-esteem will get a major boost. Imagine being able to wear cool, sleeveless shirts in the heat of summer, or feeling stunning in a strapless frock.
Slimmer arms also help draw attention to the shoulders and chest, and contribute to an overall slimmer appearance. Benefits of brachioplasty include:
– Contoured arms that are in better proportion to your fit body
– Minimal scarring that fades over time
– Better-fitting clothing
– Increase in activity and self-confidence
– Eradication of fat pockets makes arms feel lighter and increases mobility
– Immediately noticeable and long-lasting results
IDEAL ARM LIFT CANDIDATES
The greatest candidates, like with any cosmetic procedures, are those who are ready to commit to a healthy lifestyle in order to appropriately preserve their results. They should ideally also be dedicated to a healthy future that includes consistent exercise and a balanced diet. They should have tried to tone their arms through regular exercise and be at or close to their ideal weight. To guarantee a quick healing process following an arm lift, smokers should stop both before and after the procedure. People who have unusually elastic skin and struggle with weight fluctuations are typically not thought of as excellent prospects.
Your sagging skin may have been exercise-resistant, but regular exercise will maintain your hard-earned results. Dr Vigo will be able to evaluate your candidacy for an arm lift after a review of your medical history and a thorough examination.
ARM LIFT TECHNIQUES
During your personal consultation, Dr. Vigo will examine your arms and ask you questions to help him choose which arm lift procedure will produce the greatest results for you.
TRADITIONAL BRACHIOPLASTY
The classic arm lift has the major advantage that scarring is not apparent from the front and will fade over time. In this treatment, the patient’s back side arm is incised from the bottom of the armpit to the top of the armpit crease. After extra skin, tissue, and fat have been eliminated, the skin is redraped over the freshly shaped area and tightened. As a result, the patient and doctor get the desired taut appearance. Patients can request that the incision be done on the inner arm if they would rather the scar not be seen from behind. In this instance, though, some scarring is visible from the front. However, scarring caused by this method is negligible from all angles and noticeably gets lighter over time. Despite the fact that this is the most typical arm lift, Dr. Vigo always makes sure to tailor the surgery to each patient.
MINI BRACHIOPLASTY
Patients who have only a slight amount of skin sagging or who are worried about scars should choose a small arm lift.
Along the base of the arm, close to the armpit, a smaller incision is made than during a conventional brachioplasty. Fat and extra skin are eliminated, just like in the standard surgery, before the wound is stitched and closed. The micro brachioplasty is intended to tighten and remove the smallest amount of skin. For individuals with severe extra skin and sagging, it is not advised.
EXTENDED BRACHIOPLASTY
The extended brachioplasty is also known as an L-shaped brachioplasty because of the way the incision looks like the letter “L.”
This form of brachioplasty, the broadest of all arm lift operations, extends the incision from the upper arm to just below the armpit on the patient’s torso. This enables the removal of fat and extra skin from the sides of the chest as well as the underarm. It’s an excellent option for people who are bothered by armpit bulges that can impair the appearance of strapless gowns, tube tops, and sleeveless blouses.
Of the three brachioplasty methods, it provides the greatest tightening but is often only recommended for individuals who have had significant weight changes.
BRAZILIAN BUTT-LIFT: A MORE SENSUAL BODY PROFILE
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 27 October 2024
A form of fat transfer operation called the Brazilian Butt Lift produces youthful looking, prominent buttocks and a more seductive body profile.
Women with the following symptoms are candidates for the procedure:
– Flat buttocks
– Sagging buttocks
– Significant weight loss which has changed the buttock’s shape
The procedure uses your own fat, so it is the most natural way to augment your buttocks. People of all ages are undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift procedures.
The benefits of butt fat transfer procedure:
– No foreign objects placed in the body
– Quick recovery
– No cuts, minimal scarring
– No implant issues
– Liposuction
– Most natural results
A Brazilian Butt Lift consists of fat grafting that is notable for its natural-looking results. The procedure involves the following steps:
The procedure is usually performed under anesthesia, but in procedures where a smaller volume of fat is transferred, it may be done with only local anesthesia (numbing medication). You may ask for an anti-nausea medication beforehand, especially if anesthesia makes you sick.
Your surgeon then uses liposuction to remove fat from other areas of your body, such as your hips, stomach, and thighs. Liposuction itself involves making incisions in the skin, and then using a tube to remove fat from the body. The fat stores that have just been removed from your body are purified and readied for injection into your buttocks.
Your surgeon finishes by injecting the processed fat into specific areas of the buttocks to create a more rounded, full look. They make three to five incisions around the buttocks for fat transfers. Both liposuction and fat transfer incisions are closed up with stitches. Your surgeon then applies a compression garment against the affected areas of skin to minimize your risk of bleeding.
THE BENEFITS OF A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT
Unlike other forms of buttock surgery, such as placement of silicone buttock implants, a Brazilian Butt Lift is touted for providing more natural-looking results while also creating more roundness in your backside.
It can also help address certain issues, such as the sagging and shapelessness that sometimes occur with age. You might also consider the procedure if you’re bothered by figure imbalances that make it difficult to wear clothing comfortably.
BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT RECOVERY
Recovery from a Brazilian Butt Lift takes about six weeks. For the first two, you will need to avoid both sitting and laying directly on your backside. Sleeping will need to be done on your side or stomach, and sitting will require a donut seat or pillow. The seat/pillow may need to be used for up to eight weeks in some cases. Your buttocks may be swollen for several weeks as you recover from surgery. Overall, the effects of this surgery last several months to years.
Initially, you may need more than one procedure until you achieve the exact results you want. It can also take up to six months before you see full results from the initial procedure.
IS A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT RIGHT FOR YOU?
It’s always a good idea to check with a cosmetic surgeon before considering a Brazilian Butt Lift. They might give you the go-ahead if you:
– lost your natural shape due to age or weight fluctuations
– don’t feel comfortable in your clothes
– have enough fat stores in your hips and other areas for grafting
– are a nonsmoker
– are at a healthy weight
– lead a healthy lifestyle overall, which includes regular exercise
– haven’t had any recent infections or complications related to surgery
Butt augmentations are on the rise, but this doesn’t mean your choices stop at the Brazilian butt lift. Consider discussing the following options with your provider:
SCULPTRA BUTT LIFT
Sculptra is a type of dermal filler used to plump up the skin due to natural losses of volume with age. The filler is most often used for facial wrinkles, but may be considered for use along with a Brazilian butt lift for maximum volume. Use of Sculptra in the buttocks is considered off-label use by the FDA.
SILICONE BUTT IMPLANTS
As the name suggests, this procedure involves the use of silicone implants placed in your buttocks. It’s much more invasive than the Brazilian Butt Lift, although sometimes the two procedures are used together. Silicone implants carry the long-term risk of displacement, so you will likely need to get the surgery done again at some point in the future.
LIPOSUCTION
If you have excess fat stores in the gluteal area, sometimes a surgeon will recommend removing them as a way to create more roundness. This procedure focuses on fat removal only, not the transfer of fat used in a Brazilian butt lift.
Never use silicone or hydrogel injections for a butt lift. Such injections fail to deliver the same results.
A Brazilian Butt Lift can be life-changing. As well as re-shaping your “behind,” it sculpts and tones your overall body shape. I have found that this is often a wonderful turning point in my patients’ lives, boosting their self-esteem and enabling them to feel confident about their bodies, sometimes for the first time. For this reason, it’s very important to undergo this surgery for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s ideas of what your body should look like.
A Brazilian Butt Lift lifts, contours and enhances your curves — not only your butt but also your waist, hips and thighs for a more feminine, hourglass figure. A Brazilian Butt Lift is a very long-lasting procedure. On average, expect about 50% of the injected fat to stay in the area and about 50% to be reabsorbed by the body.
A Brazilian Butt Lift can be individually customized to achieve the buttocks size and shape you desire. A great advantage of this is that unlike implants, Brazilian Butt Lift outcomes are not limited to the sizes and shapes of implants that are available.
BLEPHAROPLASTY: UPPER EYELID RESHAPING SURGERY
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 23 October 2024
In order to create a less-tired and more youthful appearance, an upper eyelid lift, also known as an upper blepharoplasty, involves removing the folds of loose skin and bulges of projecting fat that sit over the top eyelids.
The skin and muscles surrounding the eyes weaken and stretch as a result of gravity’s downward pull and a loss of skin elasticity. This leads to an accumulation of loose skin and fat protrusions that give the impression of “eye bags” or a hooded look of the upper eyelid skin. Smoking, sun exposure, and weight loss may all have an accelerating influence on this feature, which may run in families.
Blepharoplasty is an activity performed on the eyelids (upper, lower or both) which includes the expulsion of skin and delicate tissue, bringing about a fresher more energetic appearance to the eyes and whole face.
The blepharoplasty system is finished to decrease the greatness around the eyes.
This appearance can be related with skin, fat, and muscle overabundance both to the upper and lower eyelids leaving patients with a drained appearance despite the fact that might feel great rested. Blepharoplasty is in many cases performed as an elective medical procedure for corrective reasons. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty tries to further develop puffy lower eyelid “packs” and diminish the wrinkling of skin.
Blepharoplasty is once in a while required for utilitarian reasons. At the point when a high level measure of upper eyelid skin is available, the skin might project over the eyelashes and causes a deficiency of fringe vision. The external and upper pieces of the visual field are most generally impacted and the condition might cause trouble with exercises like driving or perusing. In this situation, upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to work on fringe vision.
To appear younger is a typical motivation for blepharoplasty procedures. Due to the loss of collagen and the elasticity of the skin, the skin on our eyelids is frequently one of the first areas of the body to show indications of ageing. This causes the skin to sag and droop more, which might make us look older than we actually are.
While everyone experiences this as a natural part of ageing, some people may be more prone to sagging or drooping eyelids, which can create issues early on and worsen with age. An upper blepharoplasty operation may be a very efficient technique to solve the issue and restore a person’s youthful appearance.
UNDERGOING A BLEPHAROPLASTY
For upper eyelids, the specialist cuts along the crease of the eyelid. The specialist eliminates some overabundance skin, muscle and conceivably fat. Then, at that point, the specialist shuts the cut.
On the lower cover, the specialist makes a cut just underneath the lashes in your eye’s regular wrinkle or inside the lower top. The specialist eliminates or rearranges overabundance fat, muscle and hanging skin. Then, at that point, the specialist shuts the cut.
On the off chance that your upper eyelid hangs near your student, your specialist might do blepharoplasty joined with a technique called ptosis. Ptosis is intended to lift the eyelid as well as eliminate overabundance eyelid skin.
IS A BLEPHAROPLASTY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Hanging eyelids can make you look a lot more seasoned than you truly are. The saggy tops likewise make shadow zones that give your face a hazier, harsh appearance. Be that as it may, restorative medical procedure isn’t a great fit for everybody.
For the most part, optimal possibility for blepharoplasty incorporate the people who experience the ill effects of saggy lower eyelids that cause an expanded measure of eye white to show, the people who have hanging upper covers brought about by a development of greasy tissue underneath the skin and people who are having their vision – particularly their fringe vision – darkened. Packs under the lower covers can likewise be revised with blepharoplasty.
Eyelid blepharoplasty can have a striking effect in the presence of your face, lightening the presence of sluggishness and advanced age. Your eyes seem fresher and more young and these outcomes might keep going for a long time. The level of progress shifts from one patient to another.
BLEPHAROPLASTY RESULTS
Following a blepharoplasty medical procedure the face will have a more energetic appearance and generally speaking the eyelids feel less weighty.
The outcomes by and large last 10 to 15 years and the medical procedure typically needn’t bother with to be rehashed. There is no such thing as an ideal tasks and no specialist is great. No individual has wonderful prior life systems and no skin twisted recuperates without some level of scarring. A gentle level of deviation between eyelids is the standard, as opposed to the exemption.
A practical assumption from the medical procedure would be a 80% improvement in the upper eyelid appearance and a 70% improvement in the lower eyelid appearance.
Unlike many other cosmetic procedures and anti-ageing products, a blepharoplasty procedure offers a long-lasting solution to tired eyes. As the results are long-term, most patients will not feel the need to come back in for a repeat procedure.
Of course, the ageing process will continue, and results will vary from person to person, but in most people, a well-performed blepharoplasty procedure should last between 10-15 years.
BREAST RECONSTRUCTION AFTER MASTECTOMY
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 20 October 2024
Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure that creates a replacement breast after a breast or a portion of a breast has been removed. The goal is to create a breast that is comparable to your natural breast in size and form. However, they won’t be the same.
TYPES OF RECONSTRUCTION
The main ways of making a new breast include:
– implants to replace all or some of your breast tissue
– using tissue taken from another part of your body (autologous or “flap” reconstruction)
– using your own tissue and an implant
Dr. Vigo will talk to you about the different types of reconstruction. They may not all be suitable for you. They aim to match your other breast as much as possible. Dr. Vigo can also show you pictures of different types of breast reconstruction. You can see how the reconstruction looks straight after surgery and several months later.
After reconstruction surgery you might consider more surgery to:
– create a new nipple (a nipple reconstruction)
– change the shape of your other breast to match
WHEN TO HAVE BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
Breast reconstruction can be done:
– at the same time as the cancer surgery (immediate reconstruction)
– after your cancer surgery (delayed reconstruction)
When discussing reconstruction options with you, Dr. Vigo will consider:
– the type and stage of your cancer
– other treatments that you might need
– your feelings and preferences
IMMEDIATE BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
You immediately receive a new breast following an instant reconstruction. While Dr. Vigo will make every effort to match the reconstructed breast to your other breast, it won’t be an identical match. The replacement breast will appear and feel different from the removed one. However, some women discover that having their breasts immediately rebuilt makes it easier for them to deal with their emotions.
Advantages
– You will have your new reconstructed breast when you wake up after your mastectomy or breast conserving surgery.
– You usually have fewer operations, so fewer anaesthetics.
There won’t be as much scarring on the breast that was rebuilt; however, there may be a tiny patch of scarred skin where your nipple once was.
Disadvantages
– You might not have as much time to decide on the type of reconstruction you want.
– If you are having radiotherapy after surgery, it might change how the reconstruction looks.
– Dr. Vigo might advise you not to have implant reconstruction if you are having radiotherapy afterwards. But you can have a temporary implant during radiotherapy and a second reconstruction operation after the radiotherapy.
– Recovery time after surgery is longer with a reconstruction compared to having a mastectomy only.
– You may have more scars on your body, this depends on the type of reconstruction you have.
It’s probable that you’ll require additional surgery; this is typically minor surgery to achieve the best cosmetic result, and it might involve developing a new nipple. Complications following surgery may cause you to postpone receiving any necessary radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy occasionally prevent the body from healing itself as effectively. Therefore, you won’t be able to begin these treatments until the wounds have healed if there are any issues with the wound following your operation.
DELAYED BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
Before considering having a reconstruction, some people would prefer to recover from their mastectomy and breast cancer therapy.
Advantages
– You have more time to look at your options and discuss them with
Dr. Vigo.
– Your breast cancer treatment will be finished and won’t be affected by your reconstruction surgery.
– Your recovery is generally quicker as you have time to prepare yourself for your surgery.
Disadvantages
– You have a time after the mastectomy with no breast tissue, you can choose to wear a false breast (prosthesis) if you want to.
– You might have a larger scar on the reconstructed breast than after immediate reconstruction.
– You may need more surgery afterwards to get a good cosmetic effect – this is usually minor surgery that you may have as a day case.
WHO CAN HAVE BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
Breast reconstruction might be possible for you even if you have:
– a radical mastectomy (removal of the breast and the muscle behind it)
– radiotherapy
– large breasts
If you are well enough you can have breast reconstruction at any age. There is a higher risk of complications if you smoke, are very overweight, or have other serious medical conditions.
RECONSTRUCTION AFTER BREAST CONSERVING SURGERY
Breast conserving surgery removes only part of the breast. After this kind of surgery and subsequent radiotherapy, the appearance of the breast is typically very excellent. When only a portion of a woman’s breast is taken, few of them require reconstructive surgery. But some women might require repair of the breast tissue that is still present. A partial surgery or breast reshaping might be an option.
HAVING A PARTIAL RECONSTRUCTION
Some women will require a quadrantectomy, for example, which involves removing a bigger portion of breast tissue. This indicates that roughly a fourth of the breast tissue is removed by Dr. Vigo. This kind of surgery results in the treated breast becoming smaller than the untreated breast and creates a dent in the breast. Nevertheless, by filling the dent with a small portion of living tissue, it is occasionally feasible to restore the shape with a partial reconstruction of the breast.
RESHAPING THE BREAST
If you need a portion of your breast removed and you have fairly large breasts, reshaping might be a possibility. Therapeutic mammoplasty is the term used. To make a smaller breast, Dr. Vigo reshapes the leftover breast tissue. You can have surgery to reduce the size of your other breast (breast reduction) concurrently with your cosmetic procedure to make them equal in size. Alternately, you could decide to consume this afterward.
HELPING YOURSELF BEFORE BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
If you take the following steps before your surgery, you will heal more rapidly after reconstruction surgery.
Stop smoking
Smoking can harm tissue blood flow. Additionally, it may make you more likely to contract an illness. Smoking raises the possibility of developing a hernia if tissue from the abdomen is removed.
Maintain a healthy weight
If you are overweight, you run a higher risk of experiencing problems from an anaesthetic. If you would like to reduce weight before the procedure, request a referral to a dietitian.
Keep physically active
It can be useful to do sit ups if tissue is going to be taken from your tummy (abdomen). You could aim to build up to 30 sit ups a day. Talk to your doctor or specialist nurse before starting any exercise.
LIP LIFTING TO ELEGANTLY ELEVATES THE UPPER LIP
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 15 October 2024
By removing sagging tissue between the top lip and the septum, lip lifting is a minimally invasive procedure that enhances the appearance of thin upper lips. In order to raise and enhance the appearance of the lips and cupid’s bow, Dr. Vigo makes a small incision in the lip area or under the nose and trims away extra skin. When you grin, it’s usually easier to see your teeth.
Lip lifts are frequently performed on patients to improve the lip shape or to make the philtrum area appear more youthful and fresher.
WHAT IS LIP LIFTING
A lip lift is a clinic-based surgical procedure that narrows the “philtrum,” or space between the nose and the top of the lip. The technique makes more pink tissue exposed, giving the lips the appearance of being bigger and more prominent. Additionally, it makes your top central teeth more visible while your lips are at rest. It’s an excellent alternative for those who wish to give their lips height rather than volume.
There are numerous lip lift variations. Knowing the different kinds and strategies will help you and Dr. Vigo have an informed discussion about which is best for you.
WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE LIP LIFTING?
There are various factors that influence people’s decisions about lift lip surgery. The procedure successfully tackles issues such an enlarged philtrum, the vertical groove between the nose and the upper lip, and a thin upper lip that is brought on by ageing or genetics.
Lip lifts provide a long-term fix for thin lips that lack shape and volume. It is a more long-lasting alternative to dermal fillers, making it a desirable choice for those who do not want the maintenance associated with fillers.
Direct lip lift
A direct lip lift, sometimes called a gullwing lip lift, creates a more defined lip border. A thin strip of skin is removed just above the upper lip, and the skin is pulled upwards, creating the illusion of a more pronounced vermillion (the pink part of the lips). This procedure typically leaves behind a scar on the upper lip area.
Subnasal bullhorn
The subnasal bullhorn is one of the more common lip lift procedures. Dr. Vigo will make an incision that’s typically hidden along the base of the nose where it’s less visible. The incision is often made in the shape of a bullhorn and the center, right, and left of the lip are all pulled up toward the nose.
Central lip lift
A central lip lift is similar to a subnasal bullhorn lift. It shortens the space between the nose and the lips by an incision at the lower nose.
Corner lip lift
A corner lip lift is sometimes called a “grin lift” because it gives the face a more smiley appearance. It’s done by making two small incisions at both corners of the mouth and removing a small amount of skin. Some people will get this in tandem with another lip lift to give fuller lips. It’s an option for people who feel they have downturned lips.
A lip lift can be a good option for older people who want to reduce the space between the lips and the nose. With age, this space typically increases and can make lips look thinner. Younger people who haven’t achieved the look they want from fillers, or if they find that fillers make their lips look unnaturally plump or duck-like, may prefer a lip lift. Lip lifts are also a permanent solution, so they can be helpful for people who are tired of the upkeep of filler.
WHO IS GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LIP LIFTING?
If each of the following statements about a person is true, Dr. Vigo deems them suitable for the procedure:
– Your mental and physical health are both good.
– You are optimistic and realistic about what surgery can accomplish when you are at your desired weight.
– You’re seeking a long-lasting outcome.
– You have a 15mm or larger gap between your upper lip and nose.
– Your thin lips are a result of ageing or heredity.
– Your lip corners are downturned.
– You’re trying to find a substitute for lip fillers.
As with all surgeries, lip lifts have some potential complications include:
– scarring
– poor wound healing
– blood loss during or after surgery
– nerve damage
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME FROM LIP LIFTING SURGERY?
The recovery period following a lip lifting treatment is relatively brief. After surgery, we strongly advise resting for 24 hours and refraining from heavy activity and smoking for the next few weeks. Before having raise lip surgery, we implore you to stop smoking.
Dr. Vigo advises avoiding sleeping on your faces and avoiding extending your mouth too widely in order to take extra precautions near the lip area. It will assist to use a toothbrush with a smaller head.
After surgery, you should be able to resume your regular daily activities in about seven days.

RENUVION: THE GROUND BREAKING, MINIMALLY-INVASIVE TISSUE CONTRACTING TREATMENT
Plastic Surgery Dubai | 5 October 2024
We all want to look our very best and having a toned physical appearance can mean all the difference to our confidence and wellbeing. If you are planning a special event, have a milestone birthday coming up, or simply want to look and feel better in yourself, Dr. Vigo offers a range of body sculpting and toning treatments so you can stand out from the crowd and really ‘own’ your physical appearance.
Renuvion® is a ground breaking, minimally-invasive tissue contracting treatment, which is perfect as a stand-alone procedure, or combined with fat removal treatments, for a holistic approach to body sculpting and skin toning. Renuvion® is a walk-in-walk-out procedure and can be conducted under a local or general anaesthetic, depending on what Dr. Vigo advises.
Until recently, no surgical procedure or energy source achieved consistent significant tightening without an extensive recovery. Now, whether ultrasonic liposuction is used in conjunction with Renuvion for skin tightening or not, there is hardly an area of the body that cannot be treated.
Renuvion is used in a minimally invasive procedure through small entry points to gently contract tissue below the skin. Incisional scars are very minor compared to traditional excisional surgery. The procedure can be performed while awake with a local anesthetic or while the patient is asleep. Recovery time is shorter compared to more invasive treatments and alternative minimally invasive RF technology. Doctors often report that the contraction effect created by Renuvion is noticeable immediately after treatment. Results may even continue to improve over time.
WHAT IS RENUVION?
Renuvion is a revolutionary minimally invasive procedure that uses cold plasma energy on the underside of the skin to instantly tighten and rejuvenate anywhere on the face and body. A unique alternative to traditional facelifts, tummy tucks, and body sculpting, the Renuvion procedure will shrink and sculpt loose and lax skin without large incisions, downtime or complications of cosmetic surgery.
Renuvion for the face uses cold plasma energy under the skin to lift, tighten and rejuvenate the face and neck giving you natural-looking results with minimal downtime and no complications of a traditional facelift. Renuvion is unique because the cold plasma energy applied under the skin creates instant skin contraction resulting in improved laxity, tightening and shrinkage.
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR THIS SKIN TIGHTENING PROCEDURE?
Renuvion is a treatment option for patients who want skin tightening results, but do not want to do invasive plastic surgery. No other minimally invasive technology will tighten the skin to this degree with such a:
– tiny incision
– little or no scarring
– minimal downtime
BENEFITS OF RENUVION FOR THE FACE

– Breasts
– Stomach
– Arms
– Thighs
WHAT IS PLASMA ENERGY?
Cold plasma is created when helium gas is energized by radiofrequency energy and delivered through the Renuvion device. Because Helium gas is very stable, it can be ionized at very low energy ensuring flexible, precise and safe delivery. Cold plasma is cooler than laser energy making Renuvion Face a safer procedure with less risk and damage to the tissue and affording patients a quick recovery. The level of improvement and rejuvenation from cold plasma energy is unrivaled in current technologies. No laser, ultrasound or radiofrequency treatment is capable of tightening and firming skin to this level.
RENUVION CONSULTATION
During your consultation, Dr. Vigo will evaluate your skin elasticity, and your underlying muscle tone. He will thoroughly explain the technique along with its risks, benefits, and recovery times.
RENUVION FACE PROCEDURE
Performed in a day care facility and using local anesthesia with sedation, Dr. Vigo starts the Renuvion procedure with three tiny, hidden incisions under the chin and behind each ear. He will then use the Renuvion device sub-dermally (under the skin) to deliver cold plasma, which instantly tightens, shrinks and rejuvenates skin from the inside out. Results are immediate and continue to improve as your body continues to heal. A compressive garment is needed post operatively in order to enhance the result of the procedure.
DOES THE PROCEDURE REQUIRE GENERAL ANESTHESIA?
Renuvion can be done under general anesthesia, sedation or even local anesthesia only for limited areas.
HOW MANY RENUVION TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Renuvion is a single treatment. You will start seeing results soon after surgery, but the skin continues to tighten over the next several months and up to a year as the skin remodels and deposits new collagen.
RECOVERY AFTER RENUVION SKIN RESURFACING
Although most patients are up and about at 2 weeks, there is still redness/erythema that lasts approximately 4 weeks. The energy penetrates deep into the skin for maximal result which does lengthen downtime. This is in contrast to Renuvion tightening where I have had patients go back to work within a few days. For limited areas, most patients only require a pain reliever during recovery.
RECOVERY & SIDE EFFECTS
Recovery from Renuvion procedures can take between two to three weeks depending on the extent of the procedure and the target area.
Larger body parts generally require more downtime and patients will feel more symptoms than that of smaller target areas. Patients should expect to experience symptoms for up to three weeks post treatment. These can include:
– Dry skin
– Peeling skin
– Mild pain
– Redness
– Swelling
– Itching
– Bruising
Medication can be taken to curb symptoms if at any point you feel uncomfortable. However, symptoms are very rarely severe and patients can usually return to regular light activities after two to five days.
It is common for patients to experience a ‘tight’ feeling in the area that has been treated as the sensation post treatment is different than before.
In addition, compression wraps can be worn day and night in the immediate recovery phase to help with the healing process and ensure a more comfortable resting / sleeping state.
However, every patient is different and no two are the same. So if you are feeling like you are experiencing more symptoms than you should, contact your clinician for assistance and advice.
SIMPLY BETTER
The precision of the Renuvion® device wand, the ultra-controlled heat and the fact that Renuvion® doesn’t require large incisions, this can all help to reduce the risk of this treatment, shortening recovery times and minimising scarring. Furthermore, research suggests that radio-frequency energy, such as that used in Renuvion® is able to deliver very similar results as with invasive surgery, but with far less risk.
MIA FEMTECH™ The Breast Enhancement Revolution
Mia FemTech Dubai | 1 October 2024
Mia® FemTech is a less invasive, natural-looking breast augmentation option for women who have never had breast augmentation surgery. It leaves no scars and doesn’t require a scalpel or general anaesthesia. Amazingly, 90 minutes following the treatment, patients are free to leave the facility and get back to their regular lives.
Mia® FemTech is ideal for women who:
– Have had children and want to regain their pre-pregnancy confidence.
– Have never had surgery before and are seeking an increase in volume of up to two cup sizes.
– Have considered breast enhancement but were deterred by the scarring and downtime associated with traditional breast augmentation.
WHAT IS MIA® FEMTECH?
Created especially for breast augmentation, Mia® FemTech is a cutting-edge method in the realm of cosmetic surgery by Establishment Laboratories, the same company that makes Motiva Implant. It differs from conventional techniques in that it is less intrusive, aims for less scarring, and requires a shorter recovery period. With the use of cutting-edge surgical instruments and technology, Dr. Vigo is able to precisely and safely execute breast augmentation procedures with a smaller incision.
HOW IS MIA® FEMTECH PERFORMED?
The Mia FemTech procedure involves several key steps:
Consultation and Planning
A detailed discussion of the patient’s expectations and goals during the consultation. Dr. Vigo assesses the anatomy of the patient to decide on the best course of action.
Anaesthesia
The procedure is typically performed under local anaesthesia with sedation to ensure patient comfort.
Incision
Usually the armpit, a small incision is made in a hidden place. Depending on the anatomy of the patient and the intended result, the exact site of the incision may change.
Placement of Implants
Dr. Vigo uses specific instruments and methods to make an implant pocket. The implants are then cautiously placed utilising a unique delivery mechanism through the tiny incision.
Closure
The incision is closed with sutures, and a surgical dressing is applied. The small size of the incision typically results in minimal scarring.
MORE ABOUT THE MIA® FEMTECH INCISION
The anatomy of the patient and the intended outcome determine the size of implants that may be utilised with Mia® FemTech. Usually, the surgery is limited to a cup-sized increase in size. Traditional breast augmentation or MiniAugmentation treatments will produce the necessary effects if you would prefer a bigger increase in breast size.
HOW MIA® FEMTECH DIFFERS FROM A TRADITIONAL BREAST AUGMENTATION?
Mia® FemTech differs from traditional breast augmentation in several key ways:
Incision Size
Compared to previous procedures, which usually require bigger incisions to put the implants, Mia® FemTech employs a substantially smaller incision. However, if you’re thinking about getting tiny implants, we can often accomplish this with a 3–4 cm incision.
Recovery Time
Patients frequently recover from Mia® FemTech procedures more quickly because they are less intrusive. Less downtime and a speedier return to regular activities result from this. There are restrictions on the size and surgical plane of the FemTech implant process.
Scarring
The smaller incision used in Mia® FemTech results in less noticeable scarring, which is in the armpit.
Technology and Tools
Mia® FemTech uses a diamond shaped implant which provides more projection with a smaller size.
With its less invasive approach that may result in shorter recovery times and less scarring, Mia® FemTech is a significant leap in the area of breast augmentation. Like any surgical operation, there are risks associated with it.
Mia® FemTech is for all those women who are looking for proportion, harmony and naturalness in their breasts.
