BLEPHAROPLASTY: UPPER EYELID RESHAPING SURGERY
Cosmetic Clinic Dubai | 28 June 2023
In order to create a less-tired and more youthful appearance, an upper eyelid lift, also known as an upper blepharoplasty, involves removing the folds of loose skin and bulges of projecting fat that sit over the top eyelids.
The skin and muscles surrounding the eyes weaken and stretch as a result of gravity’s downward pull and a loss of skin elasticity. This leads to an accumulation of loose skin and fat protrusions that give the impression of “eye bags” or a hooded look of the upper eyelid skin. Smoking, sun exposure, and weight loss may all have an accelerating influence on this feature, which may run in families.
Blepharoplasty is an activity performed on the eyelids (upper, lower or both) which includes the expulsion of skin and delicate tissue, bringing about a fresher more energetic appearance to the eyes and whole face.
The blepharoplasty system is finished to decrease the greatness around the eyes.
This appearance can be related with skin, fat, and muscle overabundance both to the upper and lower eyelids leaving patients with a drained appearance despite the fact that might feel great rested. Blepharoplasty is in many cases performed as an elective medical procedure for corrective reasons. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty tries to further develop puffy lower eyelid “packs” and diminish the wrinkling of skin.
Blepharoplasty is once in a while required for utilitarian reasons. At the point when a high level measure of upper eyelid skin is available, the skin might project over the eyelashes and causes a deficiency of fringe vision. The external and upper pieces of the visual field are most generally impacted and the condition might cause trouble with exercises like driving or perusing. In this situation, upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to work on fringe vision.
To appear younger is a typical motivation for blepharoplasty procedures. Due to the loss of collagen and the elasticity of the skin, the skin on our eyelids is frequently one of the first areas of the body to show indications of ageing. This causes the skin to sag and droop more, which might make us look older than we actually are.
While everyone experiences this as a natural part of ageing, some people may be more prone to sagging or drooping eyelids, which can create issues early on and worsen with age. An upper blepharoplasty operation may be a very efficient technique to solve the issue and restore a person’s youthful appearance.
UNDERGOING A BLEPHAROPLASTY
For upper eyelids, the specialist cuts along the crease of the eyelid. The specialist eliminates some overabundance skin, muscle and conceivably fat. Then, at that point, the specialist shuts the cut.
On the lower cover, the specialist makes a cut just underneath the lashes in your eye’s regular wrinkle or inside the lower top. The specialist eliminates or rearranges overabundance fat, muscle and hanging skin. Then, at that point, the specialist shuts the cut.
On the off chance that your upper eyelid hangs near your student, your specialist might do blepharoplasty joined with a technique called ptosis. Ptosis is intended to lift the eyelid as well as eliminate overabundance eyelid skin.
IS A BLEPHAROPLASTY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Hanging eyelids can make you look a lot more seasoned than you truly are. The saggy tops likewise make shadow zones that give your face a hazier, harsh appearance. Be that as it may, restorative medical procedure isn’t a great fit for everybody.
For the most part, optimal possibility for blepharoplasty incorporate the people who experience the ill effects of saggy lower eyelids that cause an expanded measure of eye white to show, the people who have hanging upper covers brought about by a development of greasy tissue underneath the skin and people who are having their vision – particularly their fringe vision – darkened. Packs under the lower covers can likewise be revised with blepharoplasty.
Eyelid blepharoplasty can have a striking effect in the presence of your face, lightening the presence of sluggishness and advanced age. Your eyes seem fresher and more young and these outcomes might keep going for a long time. The level of progress shifts from one patient to another.
BLEPHAROPLASTY RESULTS
Following a blepharoplasty medical procedure the face will have a more energetic appearance and generally speaking the eyelids feel less weighty.
The outcomes by and large last 10 to 15 years and the medical procedure typically needn’t bother with to be rehashed. There is no such thing as an ideal tasks and no specialist is great. No individual has wonderful prior life systems and no skin twisted recuperates without some level of scarring. A gentle level of deviation between eyelids is the standard, as opposed to the exemption.
A practical assumption from the medical procedure would be a 80% improvement in the upper eyelid appearance and a 70% improvement in the lower eyelid appearance.
Unlike many other cosmetic procedures and anti-ageing products, a blepharoplasty procedure offers a long-lasting solution to tired eyes. As the results are long-term, most patients will not feel the need to come back in for a repeat procedure.
Of course, the ageing process will continue, and results will vary from person to person, but in most people, a well-performed blepharoplasty procedure should last between 10-15 years.
CORRECTING BREAST ASYMMETRY
Cosmetic Clinic Dubai | 22 June 2023
The majority of women have a bigger breast than the other, but in some cases the difference is more noticeable. Breast asymmetry, or extremely uneven breasts, can make you feel miserable and self-conscious. When choosing clothing, women with an uneven contour frequently go to great measures to cover up the difference, actively avoiding pretty bras and swimwear.
Breast asymmetry surgery, which entails the reduction or enlargement of one breast to achieve a more even balance, is a long-term answer to the issue of uneven breasts. The outcomes are transformative for many women, allowing them to dress in ways that highlight rather than conceal their shapes.
BREAST ASYMMETRY CORRECTION
When one breast is bigger or has a distinct shape from the other, it is said to have breast asymmetry. Small amounts of asymetry are typical. The majority of reasons are not serious, may be congenital, and frequently have no bearing. However, significant asymmetries frequently support remedial surgery. There are two primary methods for imbalance correction. The lesser breast can undergo breast augmentation surgery to enlarge its tissue and make it comparable to the other. Different-sized implants can be used to augment both sides if an increase in both size is sought.
The other option is to use expander augmentation. Expander enhancement is a secure procedure frequently used by women with asymmetrical breasts to enlarge the smaller breast. The expander is typically left in position for around a year before a second procedure is carried out to remove it and swap it out for a permanent silicone implant. The benefit of this technique is that it frequently results in a precise size match between your two breasts.
Many women elect to have the saline expander changed because the silicone implant that takes its place feels softer and more natural. Alternatively, the expander can be left in place serving as a permanent implant with the valve removed, negating the need for a replacement.
An option would be to have the larger of the two breasts reduced to match the smaller breast. The extra breast flesh must be removed in order to do this. Breasts that are more similar in size are the outcome of either procedure.
Not only has correcting breast asymmetry aided women in looking better, but it can also enhance confidence and self-esteem. They are frequently done after cancer therapy or a mammogram. Scoliosis patients have also undergone surgery to correct their breast inequality. During your initial appointment, your surgeon will go over the options for correcting breast asymmetry with you. This and other problems will be discussed.
OPTING FOR PLASTIC SURGERY
Surgery to correct breast inequality is not always the best option. It’s a very private choice that, in the end, only you can make. Dr. Vigo is available to give you the details you require to better comprehend the process and the potential outcomes. You need to go into this with realistic goals, says Dr. Vigo.
When you have asymmetrical breasts, you can balance out the shape of your breast by either enlarging or contracting your larger breast. Although breast asymmetry surgery is the most popular option, in some cases it may be possible to resolve the issue with a breast uplift (mastopexy) operation on one or both of your breasts.
Dr. Vigo will explain everything to you during your appointment. Of course, you should take advantage of this as well to ask questions so that you can decide whether to proceed in a well-informed manner.
Complications from breast asymmetry surgery can include bleeding, infection, or an adverse response to the anaesthetic. By carefully adhering to our recommendations both before and after operation, you can lower your risks.
You should be aware that even though every effort will be made to conceal them and you can usually hide the majority of them with your bra and bathing suit, breast augmentation and reduction procedures will leave visible, permanent scars. Smokers are more likely to experience slow healing and wider marks.
Some patients may suffer a permanent lack of feeling in their breasts or nipples after this kind of surgery. Rarely, the blood flow to the nipple and areola may be cut off, causing the tissue to perish. (Modern methods can be used to rebuild the nipple and areola. On rare occasions, it may also be necessary to rebuild the breast tissue beneath.) In the future, you won’t be able to breastfeed in a breast that has been diminished.
You are placing yourself in the best hands possible if you have your breast asymmetry surgery with Dr. Vigo. To get the best results from your breast asymmetry correction, you must follow his guidance afterward because, as with any operation, there are factors that are beyond our control.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT’S INVOLVED
Dr. Vigo will go over the factors that could influence your treatment during your consultation, including your age, the size and shape of your breasts, and the state of your skin. He will also go over the positioning of the nipple and areola, which will be raised during the operation and should be roughly even with the crease under your breasts. Every patient naturally has a unique perspective on the ideal size and shape for their breasts, and we will customise your procedure to meet your needs as closely as possible.
It’s essential to remember that breast asymmetry surgery won’t likely produce perfectly symmetrical breasts, but the final result should be much closer to that, giving you more confidence to wear your regular clothes, knickers and swimwear. You will receive detailed instructions on how to prepare, including rules on what to consume and drink, smoke, and take medications, before you arrive for your treatment.
The procedure, which requires a general anesthetic, typically lasts between two and four hours, but it could take longer in some circumstances. You should plan on spending two to three days in the infirmary. Please be advised that a mammogram (breast x-ray) may be recommended for you to have before surgery.
You’ll need to remember to ask someone to drive you home after your surgery and to help you out for a few days afterwards to enable you to rest.
CORRECTING BREAST ASYMMETRY – RECOVERY
Whether you had a reduction or an enlargement, you can anticipate some discomfort for a week or more after your procedure. Pain medication will be given to you. Expect to experience some pain for the first few days, particularly when you cough or move around.
After a few days, you’ll be able to take a wash, and after a week, any tapes will be taken off and, if necessary, replaced with a soft bra. For several weeks, until the puffiness and bruising go down, it is best to wear the bra constantly. Few, if any, stitches need to be removed because absorbable sutures are used.
Your breasts could ache and swell during your first period after surgery. For a few months, you might additionally experience sporadic, shooting aches. You might be told to refrain from sexual activity for at least a week and to limit breast touch to gentle patting for about six weeks.
Even though the majority of the puffiness and bruising will disappear within the first few weeks, it could take your breasts six months to a year to adapt to their new shape. Even then, they might alter in shape as a result of your chemical changes, weight changes, or pregnancy.
Additionally, you’ll need to go to one or more follow-up appointments so that Dr. Vigo can make sure your recovery is proceeding normally. Additionally, he will offer you tips on how to recuperate quickly from your breast asymmetry correction surgery. Of course, you can always contact him with any questions you may have following the procedure.
LIPOSUCTION FOR EFFECTIVE BODY CONTOURING
Cosmetic Clinic Dubai | 19 June 2023
A common cosmetic procedure called liposuction can help you achieve a more consistent body contour and get rid of stubborn fat cells. For a tight and toned appearance, people frequently receive liposuction on their belly, buttocks, thighs, chin, neck, upper arms, calves, back, and on the back of their arms.
Unwanted fat deposits are present in places including the face, neck, breast, belly, upper arm, hips, thighs, knees, and ankles that are resistant to diet and exercise. Your surgeon will follow established guidelines regarding safe volumes that may be removed in one session during liposuction-liposculpture procedures, which can be performed on several areas at once. Although size improvement is a goal, weight loss is not the purpose of this surgery. After your surgery, it can take six months before the final effects are obvious.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING LIPOSUCTION?
Prior to discussing the procedure with you, Dr. Vigo will evaluate your general health, the condition of your skin, and the quantity of fat that needs to be removed.
Various anaesthetic techniques are employed during liposuction. You might use a local anaesthetic if only a modest amount of fat needs to be removed. A general anaesthesia could be necessary for more involved procedures. The quantity of fat being removed will determine how long your liposuction surgery takes.
Dr. Vigo will make a small incision in the skin. Using a thin, hollow tube they will break up the fat cells beneath the skin surface and remove them with a special suction or vacuum. Several incisions may be required for larger areas. Any incisions will be stitched at the end of the procedure. The area will be bandaged for support.
THE BENEFITS OF LIPOSUCTION
Liposuction has many benefits associated with having the procedure done. While most of the benefits are cosmetic in nature, there are a few medical benefits that could lead someone to have liposuction.
Lipodystrophy Syndrome: People who have this syndrome have fat that deposits in one area of their body and leaves another. Liposuction can give them an even fat distribution back.
Lipomas: A lipoma is a fatty tumor that is benign. They can develop all over a person’s body, but they routinely appear under the arms, neck, shoulders, and on your trunk. Liposuction can break up these fatty tumors.
Lymphedema: Lymphedema is a chronic condition that affects people on a long-term basis. Lymph fluid collects and pools under the skin causing swelling in the person’s legs and arms. Liposuction can take out this pooled fluid, reduce the swelling, and reduce any discomfort.
Weight Loss: People who have lost an extreme amount of weight may benefit from liposuction. It can break down any remaining stubborn fat deposits to give the person an even appearance.
Tightening and Toning: Liposuction can get rid of and reduce the appearance of uneven fat deposits. As a result, you’ll get a tighter and more toned physique.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Liposuction is considered to be a relatively safe procedure, but it does have a few side effects you want to watch out for. If you’re concerned, it’s always a good idea to contact Dr. Vigo.
– Bruising that can last for weeks
– Inflammation that can last up to six months
– Contour irregularities
– Numbness
– Infection
– Friction burns
HOW LIPOSUCTION WORKS
Small incisions are made in hair bearing areas or natural skin folds. A special tumescent solution is next placed within the fatty areas to be removed. This solution provides anesthesia to the areas, while limiting the usual blood loss. Fat is then carefully removed from the areas of concern to the patient using a surgical instrument called a cannula, which is attached with tubing to a suction machine. The time for completion of the procedure depends upon the total amount of fatty tissue removed. At the end of the procedure, the skin openings may be sutured or left open to heal, depending on the size of the openings. The patient may be placed in a compression garment that is worn for certain amount of time afterwards.
While recovery is easy, you should expect some initial drainage along with swelling, bruising and discomfort. Your compression garment will minimize the swelling, bruising, discomfort and assist in the retraction of any loose skin. While some results are noted immediately, your final shape and form will continue to improve as your swelling subsides. You will be encouraged to be up and about the night of your surgery and progressively increase your activities. Usually light work duties may be resumed within three to five days and vigorous exercise within two to four weeks.
The fat stores that have just been removed from your body are purified and readied for injection into your buttocks. Your surgeon finishes by injecting the processed fat into specific areas of the buttocks to create a more rounded, full look. They make three to five incisions around the buttocks for fat transfers. Both liposuction and fat transfer incisions are closed up with stitches. Your surgeon then applies a compression garment against the affected areas of skin to minimize your risk of bleeding.
For patients thinking about liposuction, it is important to remember that this treatment is not a cure, but can help to correct and improve bodily contours in areas that are resistant to weight loss. As a surgical technique, liposuction works by removing pockets of fat in areas that are beyond the reach of diet and exercise. It is most effective for people who are near normal weight and have firm, elastic skin. It should not be thought of as a substitute for losing weight.
The areas that are most commonly treated by liposuction are the tummy, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, neck, upper arms and male breasts. There are various liposuction techniques available, but no single technique works for all patients. Each liposuction procedure will be tailored to a patient’s needs and physical condition. At the end of the operation, tight bandages or elasticated clothing will be applied to the area to minimise swelling and help the body conform to its new shape. With the exception of showering, this garment should be worn both day and night for at least two weeks and thereafter for another four to six weeks.
Complications are infrequent, although there can be considerable pain following this procedure, particularly if a large amount of fat has been removed. The following are commonly experienced by patients:
Stiffness and pain; swelling, bruising; numbness; unusual sensations; fine thread veins; lumpy appearance as remaining fat settles
If a small amount of fat is removed during an operation, patients should be able to return to work within a day or two. However, you may need extra time off if the liposuction was more extensive. Patients can usually return to their usual routines within three to four weeks.
The effects of the operation should be long-lasting, so long as a patient’s weight remains stable.
COMPRESSION GARMENTS
You will be fitted with compression bandages or elasticated supports for the appropriate areas after your surgery. You will also have dressings to cover the entry points and wounds from surgery.
Compression bandages and compression garments will help to get rid of swelling and bruising. The length of time that you wear these for is dependent on the nature of your procedure; it can be several weeks or months.
You are likely to be given specific garments to wear, so that they target the precise area that they have treated. It is important to wear these and follow instructions from your surgeon, so that the affected areas are properly supported during your recovery.
You can remove these garments and bandages when you shower, but check what guidance your surgeon can offer regarding how soon you should wait before submerging the wound in water. Typically, you should avoid showering or bathing for the first week after your procedure.
LIPOSUCTION RECOVERY
You might be able to undergo the surgery as a day case, depending on the scope of the treatment. Once the anaesthesia wears off, you will require painkillers. After surgery, you might need to wear an elastic support garment for two to six weeks. Do not forget to ask a friend or family member to drive you home.
Five to ten days after your surgery, you’ll need to have your stitches removed. Depending on how extensive your treatment is, you might need to take one or two weeks off from work. You must rest and refrain from engaging in any vigorous activities for the first few weeks. The shape of your body will change once the swelling has subsided.
LIP LIFTING TO ELEGANTLY ELEVATES THE UPPER LIP
Cosmetic Clinic Dubai | 16 June 2023
By removing sagging tissue between the top lip and the septum, lip lifting is a minimally invasive procedure that enhances the appearance of thin upper lips. In order to raise and enhance the appearance of the lips and cupid’s bow, Dr. Vigo makes a small incision in the lip area or under the nose and trims away extra skin. When you grin, it’s usually easier to see your teeth.
Lip lifts are frequently performed on patients to improve the lip shape or to make the philtrum area appear more youthful and fresher.
WHAT IS LIP LIFTING
A lip lift is a clinic-based surgical procedure that narrows the “philtrum,” or space between the nose and the top of the lip. The technique makes more pink tissue exposed, giving the lips the appearance of being bigger and more prominent. Additionally, it makes your top central teeth more visible while your lips are at rest. It’s an excellent alternative for those who wish to give their lips height rather than volume.
There are numerous lip lift variations. Knowing the different kinds and strategies will help you and Dr. Vigo have an informed discussion about which is best for you.
WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE LIP LIFTING?
There are various factors that influence people’s decisions about lift lip surgery. The procedure successfully tackles issues such an enlarged philtrum, the vertical groove between the nose and the upper lip, and a thin upper lip that is brought on by ageing or genetics.
Lip lifts provide a long-term fix for thin lips that lack shape and volume. It is a more long-lasting alternative to dermal fillers, making it a desirable choice for those who do not want the maintenance associated with fillers.
Direct lip lift
A direct lip lift, sometimes called a gullwing lip lift, creates a more defined lip border. A thin strip of skin is removed just above the upper lip, and the skin is pulled upwards, creating the illusion of a more pronounced vermillion (the pink part of the lips). This procedure typically leaves behind a scar on the upper lip area.
Subnasal bullhorn
The subnasal bullhorn is one of the more common lip lift procedures. Dr. Vigo will make an incision that’s typically hidden along the base of the nose where it’s less visible. The incision is often made in the shape of a bullhorn and the center, right, and left of the lip are all pulled up toward the nose.
Central lip lift
A central lip lift is similar to a subnasal bullhorn lift. It shortens the space between the nose and the lips by an incision at the lower nose.
Corner lip lift
A corner lip lift is sometimes called a “grin lift” because it gives the face a more smiley appearance. It’s done by making two small incisions at both corners of the mouth and removing a small amount of skin. Some people will get this in tandem with another lip lift to give fuller lips. It’s an option for people who feel they have downturned lips.
A lip lift can be a good option for older people who want to reduce the space between the lips and the nose. With age, this space typically increases and can make lips look thinner. Younger people who haven’t achieved the look they want from fillers, or if they find that fillers make their lips look unnaturally plump or duck-like, may prefer a lip lift. Lip lifts are also a permanent solution, so they can be helpful for people who are tired of the upkeep of filler.
WHO IS GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LIP LIFTING?
If each of the following statements about a person is true, Dr. Vigo deems them suitable for the procedure:
– Your mental and physical health are both good.
– You are optimistic and realistic about what surgery can accomplish when you are at your desired weight.
– You’re seeking a long-lasting outcome.
– You have a 15mm or larger gap between your upper lip and nose.
– Your thin lips are a result of ageing or heredity.
– Your lip corners are downturned.
– You’re trying to find a substitute for lip fillers.
As with all surgeries, lip lifts have some potential complications include:
– scarring
– poor wound healing
– blood loss during or after surgery
– nerve damage
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME FROM LIP LIFTING SURGERY?
The recovery period following a lip lifting treatment is relatively brief. After surgery, we strongly advise resting for 24 hours and refraining from heavy activity and smoking for the next few weeks. Before having raise lip surgery, we implore you to stop smoking.
Dr. Vigo advises avoiding sleeping on your faces and avoiding extending your mouth too widely in order to take extra precautions near the lip area. It will assist to use a toothbrush with a smaller head.
After surgery, you should be able to resume your regular daily activities in about seven days.
RENUVION: THE GROUND BREAKING, MINIMALLY-INVASIVE TISSUE CONTRACTING TREATMENT
Cosmetic Clinic Dubai | 15 June 2023
We all want to look our very best and having a toned physical appearance can mean all the difference to our confidence and wellbeing. If you are planning a special event, have a milestone birthday coming up, or simply want to look and feel better in yourself, Dr. Vigo offers a range of body sculpting and toning treatments so you can stand out from the crowd and really ‘own’ your physical appearance.
Renuvion® is a ground breaking, minimally-invasive tissue contracting treatment, which is perfect as a stand-alone procedure, or combined with fat removal treatments, for a holistic approach to body sculpting and skin toning. Renuvion® is a walk-in-walk-out procedure and can be conducted under a local or general anaesthetic, depending on what Dr. Vigo advises.
Until recently, no surgical procedure or energy source achieved consistent significant tightening without an extensive recovery. Now, whether ultrasonic liposuction is used in conjunction with Renuvion for skin tightening or not, there is hardly an area of the body that cannot be treated.
Renuvion is used in a minimally invasive procedure through small entry points to gently contract tissue below the skin. Incisional scars are very minor compared to traditional excisional surgery. The procedure can be performed while awake with a local anesthetic or while the patient is asleep. Recovery time is shorter compared to more invasive treatments and alternative minimally invasive RF technology. Doctors often report that the contraction effect created by Renuvion is noticeable immediately after treatment. Results may even continue to improve over time.
WHAT IS RENUVION?
Renuvion is a revolutionary minimally invasive procedure that uses cold plasma energy on the underside of the skin to instantly tighten and rejuvenate anywhere on the face and body. A unique alternative to traditional facelifts, tummy tucks, and body sculpting, the Renuvion procedure will shrink and sculpt loose and lax skin without large incisions, downtime or complications of cosmetic surgery.
Renuvion for the face uses cold plasma energy under the skin to lift, tighten and rejuvenate the face and neck giving you natural-looking results with minimal downtime and no complications of a traditional facelift. Renuvion is unique because the cold plasma energy applied under the skin creates instant skin contraction resulting in improved laxity, tightening and shrinkage.
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR THIS SKIN TIGHTENING PROCEDURE?
Renuvion is a treatment option for patients who want skin tightening results, but do not want to do invasive plastic surgery. No other minimally invasive technology will tighten the skin to this degree with such a:
– tiny incision
– little or no scarring
– minimal downtime
BENEFITS OF RENUVION FOR THE FACE
– Immediate skin tightening
– Improved skin elasticity
– Scar reduction
– Reduction and/or elimination of age spots, sun damaged pigment and
freckles
– Reduction of wrinkles and lines caused by ageing and weight changes
– Tightening of loose skin in known problematic areas of the face
– Improvement of skin texture and tone around the lips, eyes, cheeks,
forehead, jaw and neck
– Reduction of eye bags and crow’s feet
– Reduction of acne and pigment issues (chloasma)
RENUVION COMMON TREATMENTS
Both women and men can undergo Renuvion treatment. However, it is most popular with women and the most common treatment areas are:
– Face
– Neck
– Breasts
– Stomach
– Arms
– Thighs
WHAT IS PLASMA ENERGY?
Cold plasma is created when helium gas is energized by radiofrequency energy and delivered through the Renuvion device. Because Helium gas is very stable, it can be ionized at very low energy ensuring flexible, precise and safe delivery. Cold plasma is cooler than laser energy making Renuvion Face a safer procedure with less risk and damage to the tissue and affording patients a quick recovery. The level of improvement and rejuvenation from cold plasma energy is unrivaled in current technologies. No laser, ultrasound or radiofrequency treatment is capable of tightening and firming skin to this level.
RENUVION CONSULTATION
During your consultation, Dr. Vigo will evaluate your skin elasticity, and your underlying muscle tone. He will thoroughly explain the technique along with its risks, benefits, and recovery times.
RENUVION FACE PROCEDURE
Performed in a day care facility and using local anesthesia with sedation, Dr. Vigo starts the Renuvion procedure with three tiny, hidden incisions under the chin and behind each ear. He will then use the Renuvion device sub-dermally (under the skin) to deliver cold plasma, which instantly tightens, shrinks and rejuvenates skin from the inside out. Results are immediate and continue to improve as your body continues to heal. A compressive garment is needed post operatively in order to enhance the result of the procedure.
DOES THE PROCEDURE REQUIRE GENERAL ANESTHESIA?
Renuvion can be done under general anesthesia, sedation or even local anesthesia only for limited areas.
HOW MANY RENUVION TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Renuvion is a single treatment. You will start seeing results soon after surgery, but the skin continues to tighten over the next several months and up to a year as the skin remodels and deposits new collagen.
RECOVERY AFTER RENUVION SKIN RESURFACING
Although most patients are up and about at 2 weeks, there is still redness/erythema that lasts approximately 4 weeks. The energy penetrates deep into the skin for maximal result which does lengthen downtime. This is in contrast to Renuvion tightening where I have had patients go back to work within a few days. For limited areas, most patients only require a pain reliever during recovery.
RECOVERY & SIDE EFFECTS
Recovery from Renuvion procedures can take between two to three weeks depending on the extent of the procedure and the target area.
Larger body parts generally require more downtime and patients will feel more symptoms than that of smaller target areas. Patients should expect to experience symptoms for up to three weeks post treatment. These can include:
– Dry skin
– Peeling skin
– Mild pain
– Redness
– Swelling
– Itching
– Bruising
Medication can be taken to curb symptoms if at any point you feel uncomfortable. However, symptoms are very rarely severe and patients can usually return to regular light activities after two to five days.
It is common for patients to experience a ‘tight’ feeling in the area that has been treated as the sensation post treatment is different than before.
In addition, compression wraps can be worn day and night in the immediate recovery phase to help with the healing process and ensure a more comfortable resting / sleeping state.
However, every patient is different and no two are the same. So if you are feeling like you are experiencing more symptoms than you should, contact your clinician for assistance and advice.
SIMPLY BETTER
The precision of the Renuvion® device wand, the ultra-controlled heat and the fact that Renuvion® doesn’t require large incisions, this can all help to reduce the risk of this treatment, shortening recovery times and minimising scarring. Furthermore, research suggests that radio-frequency energy, such as that used in Renuvion® is able to deliver very similar results as with invasive surgery, but with far less risk.
BREAST REDUCTION: FOR A MORE SHAPELY, UPLIFTED BUST
Cosmetic Clinic Dubai | 9 June 2023
Women with large breasts can often struggle with discomfort, uncomfortable clothing, and even neck and back problems. Breast reduction surgery seeks to make your bust more sculpted and uplifted while reducing the size of your breasts. A breast reduction treatment can significantly improve a patient’s quality of life by easing pain and enhancing self-confidence. Breast reduction surgery is a possibility if the size of your breasts worries you.
Breast reduction surgery includes removing extra breast tissue, fat, and skin from the breasts, resulting in breasts that are more in proportion to the rest of your body. Your breast reduction will be customised for you by one of our top breast surgeons once they have heard your worries.
The size of a woman’s breasts is determined by a number of factors such as genes, weight and hormones. Although most women’s breasts are in proportion to their body size and shape, some women’s breasts are disproportionately large, which can cause general discomfort. The size and weight of the breasts can particularly be an issue for women who have small frames, as the imbalance can create problems. The aim of a breast reduction operation is to reduce the size and weight of the breasts.
BREAST REDUCTION TECHIQUES
There are three types of technique used and your surgeon will tailor this to suit your needs.
The peri areolar technique
Scarring is limited to the circumference of the areola; this is suitable for smaller reductions.
The vertical scar technique
Here a scar is made around the areola and then extended down towards the breast crease, this is suitable for moderate reductions.
The ‘inverted T’ or ‘anchor’ technique
This is the most traditional form. The resulting scars will be around the areola, from the areola to the breast fold and along the breast fold. This is required for larger breast reductions.
Dr. Vigo will always provide you with information and guidance in order to ensure scaring is minimised.

Some people make the decision to have bigger or smaller breasts. Rarely, some women experience issues from their initial implants, necessitating their replacement.

Following the implant removal and/or replacement, further treatment, such as a breast elevation, may be necessary depending on the specific type of surgery you underwent. This is due to the fact that as you age, your breasts might lose their shape, and the uplift operation is frequently done in conjunction with breast enlargement.
BREAST IMPLANT REMOVAL
A surgical technique called breast implant removal is used to remove breast implants. Old breast implants are replaced during breast reconstruction surgery. Implants may be changed to ones that are similar to the originals or ones that are different in size, form, or composition. Both procedures can be done for therapeutic or aesthetic purposes.
After 10 to 15 years, breast implants often need to be removed or replaced. They might be beginning to “bottom out” (lateral displacement), feeling hard to the touch and malformed (capsular contracture), or they could have shifted or rotated, giving your breasts an uneven look or a space between them.
